Oyster Point Gallery Exhibitions, originally conceived by President Kevin Barry, and currently curated by Ellen Martin, provide a prestigious and viable alternative gallery venue to artists from New Jersey and nearby locations.
Both emerging and established artists, many of whom are award-winning, have been included in the exhibitions that are shown in the public spaces of the first two floors of the Hotel.
The work is primarily two-dimensional and encompasses painting, photography, wall-mounted sculpture, collage, and collaborative work. The Gallery is an asset both to our community and guests of the Hotel.

Ellen Martin is an iPhone photographer and curator. Kevin Hinkle is a photographer and digital artist. They began creating fused images in 2018, using pictures from Ms. Martin’s “Abandoned” series as the base. Ellen had admired Mr. Hinkle’s Fusions and featured them in her 2018 and 2020 photo exhibits. She wondered if Mr. Hinkle would be interested in using her photographs as the foundation for his fusion technique. He was, and they continued by collaborating on images based on Ms. Martin’s “Dead Roses” series. Their current series is based on photographs of flowers taken by both of them.
The Artist in Residence program will allow an artist to display work in the Hotel’s guest rooms for one year. The artist will be publicly acknowledged at the entrance to the Hotel and will also have an exhibit in the public spaces of the Hotel accompanied by a cocktail reception.
